THIS IS FALSE AS WELL. Jehovah is actually a 16th century rendering of YHWH with the vowels taken from the word, Adonai, (Lord) YHWH is from the Hebrew verb for "to be", and is an indication of God's eternality. It has nothing to do with gender.
He also claims that the "Early Jews believed that the Holy of Holies in Solomon's Temple, housed not only God, but also His powerful female equal, Shekinah." ( Come on now, not even close to the truth. )
On page #36, he says the Olympic games were in honor of Venus. Wrong again, Mr. Brown, they were in honor of Zeus. His theory on the 5 Olympic rings is also wrong.
On page #254 & other places, Brown refers to the "CHURCH" as "The Vatican" ! In this reference he claims the Vatican tried to do something wicked in the 4th Century. Hmmm !
But there was no Vatican in the 4th Century, or the 5th, 6th, or even the 7th Century. The truth is that the Vatican Palace wasn't even built until 1146 AD and even then it wasn't the principal Papal residence until 1377 AD. On page #253, Brown refers to his exhaustive search done by "Scores of historians". However, he only lists 4 books, and even these are certainly not written by any true scholars by any stretch of the imagination. Even the longer list on Brown's website is easily evaluated as not of any substantial authority. Most of the listings belong to a bunch of heretic conspiracy novelists. Shame, Mr. Brown.
I don't think I would care to be in Dan Brown's shoes on The Lord's Judgement Day, would you ?
